Hey everyone! My name is JJ the DJ and I am the owner of Jersey's Classic Rock, as well as the host of a show that airs weekdays from 11am-2pm. Becoming a radio broadcaster has always been a major goal in my life, the only problem was getting there, but now I have and I couldn't be anymore happier with the way things are going.
I am sure most of you looking at this small biography have heard of the term: "Bitten by the radio bug?" Well if you happen to have been bitten by the "radio bug" before or have no clue what that is, I will explain a bit more. People who are bitten by this pestering little bug have the sudden urge to either join an existing radio station or create their own. Obviously joining an existing one is a lot simpler than creating your own one.
Ok... Back to the facts about myself now. I am 22 years of age and a few of the things I enjoy doing besides running Jersey's Classic Rock are hanging out with my friends, playing basketball, watching sports, playing poker, and of course listening to music & going to concerts. There are a bunch of other things I enjoy doing but naming them all would take up pages and pages of whatever font I am using, so we'll leave it at that.
Being the owner of a radio station, there is a certain system I go by, and I try not to have an OCD moment, or two... Or three or more, but at times you just have to. As I write this biography about myself, there is one other DJ currently working at Jersey's Classic Rock, so I don't have to boss a bunch of people around, even though I try and be as fair as possible. I have learned the tools of the trade on how to run and manage a business, or in this case, a radio station. As long as things run smoothly, everything will be golden.
Besides owning a radio station, I am also a writer-- have been for the last eight years. My writing and the way I speak over the air most-certainly helps me when I broadcast, so my writing will continue even though I run a radio station.
